Voyage Manager's active travel tracker imports itineraries from a wide range of sources. It prompts travelling staff to confirm their departure and safe arrival. This automated process reduces the burden on travel managers while enhancing traveller safety. Our system is the most advanced of its kind on the market today.
More accurate tracking than passive tracking, through traveller confirmation.
Combines itinerary data with location data to ensure frictionless and hands off tracking.
Be automatically notified when events happen throughout the travel, ensuring quick response.
Voyage Manager combines all your travel data into unique itineraries for every traveller. Our system works with all major booking systems and with any travel agent. It can also import email bookings and accept manual input. It handles flights, trains, hotel bookings, car rentals and many other types of data. (Our passive travel tracking service also aggregates travel data in the same way.)
Based on their individual itineraries, the system reaches out to travellers to confirm that they are ready for departure, and again to ensure that they have arrived safely at destination.
Based on their individual itineraries, the system reaches out to travellers to confirm that they are ready for departure, and again to ensure that they have arrived safely at destination.
Voyage Manager sends out a departure confirmation request 1-2 hours before each scheduled trip segment. Travellers are asked to confirm that they are on their flight, or other mode of transport. They can respond by email or SMS, in one of three ways:
Every response supplements the existing itinerary information for that traveller, ensuring that you always have access to their most up to date status.
Any problems are handled according to the client’s specific escalation plan. For instance, the travel manager might be notified of all deviations. The system can be configured to cancel a trip segment if the traveller is known not to be on the flight. Depending on company policy, a response can be mandatory or optional.
Travellers can manually upload new flight details if they’ve been given an alternative by the airline or made their own arrangements. The system will reflect these updates and adjust the overall itinerary accordingly.
A request for arrival confirmation is sent shortly after the expected arrival time. The system accounts for local time at destination, so it may delay sending the confirmation request to avoid disturbing staff in the middle of the night. Arrival confirmation is normally mandatory, although this is user configurable. If a traveller fails to respond within the allocated time, an alert will go out to admin staff.
If a traveller has already confirmed that they are on a given flight and the flight tracking option is active, the system will assume that they have arrived once the plane reaches the arrival gate. It will therefore not require an arrival confirmation from them.
A temporal virtual geofence can also be established around the destination location. Once the traveller enters the geofence and a signal from their mobile device is picked up, this generates an automated arrival confirmation.
