How the Emergency SOS Works
There are three ways to activate Voyage Manager's Emergency SOS beacon:
- Press the virtual Emergency SOS button in the app
- Send an SMS message to a designated emergency number
- Use the physical SOS button on hardware GPS trackers equipped with one

The activation of the beacon triggers an automated series of actions. These includes:
- For an SOS via the app, the display changes to show an SOS is in progress.
- If the user has stored an emergency phone number in the app, the number will be automatically dialled.
- A multi-channel alert (text, email and voice message) goes out to designated administrators.
- The status of the traveller changes in the Voyage Manager system
- The last known location of the traveller is displayed in red on the admin console map
The app displays 30 days of expenses, while older records remain on the server. You can review each expense, view its location on a map, and generate reports or download a CSV file of all expenses.

Call Up Help on the go with the Operator and Chat functions
The Voyage Manager app also features an “Operator” button for non-emergency use. Clients can associate a particular number with the button, such as that of an in-house or third party operations centre or help desk. Travellers can auto-dial the designated operator any time simply by pressing the button.
The Voyage Manager app also features a real-time chat function, allowing travellers to communicate directly with operations staff. This two-way chat can be used for both emergency and non-emergency issues, enabling travellers to get immediate assistance or information as needed. Whether reaching out for help or providing updates, users can easily start a chat with the operations team directly within the app, ensuring support is always accessible wherever they are.
