ISO 31030 · Travel Risk Management Guidance
Build an ISO 31030-aligned
travel risk programme
ISO 31030 is the international standard that sets out what good travel risk management looks like. Voyage Manager gives you the tools to put its guidance into practice — assess your programme below, free.
What is ISO 31030?
Published in 2021, ISO 31030:2021 Travel risk management — Guidance for organizations is the first international standard for managing the risks of work-related travel. It sets out how organisations should assess, treat, monitor and review travel risk as part of their duty of care.
ISO 31030 is guidance, not a certification — no vendor or organisation "holds" it. What matters is whether your programme follows its recommendations. Increasingly, boards, insurers and procurement teams ask exactly that question.
Voyage Manager supports ISO 31030 alignment: the standard describes the programme; our platform provides the operational tooling to run it.
Why alignment matters
- Duty of care evidence — demonstrate a structured, documented approach if the worst happens
- Procurement & tenders — alignment is increasingly a supplier-selection question
- Insurance — insurers look favourably on programmes run to the standard
- Traveller confidence — staff travel more willingly when the programme is credible
How Voyage Manager maps to the guidance
The standard's core themes, and the platform capability that operationalises each one.
