Versatile Climate Tools for Corporate and Individual Use
Our climate impact tool operates on two levels: individual, and organisational. Corporate users can view the carbon footprint generated by their entire organisation. Individuals can choose to track both their work-related and personal CO2 emissions. They can divide activities between their own carbon budget, and the one belonging to their organisation. For example, if they use their car for work one day a week, they can attribute 20% of its CO2 emissions to their employer.
Our tool tracks three main sources of carbon emissions:
- Business and personal travel.
- Commercial and residential properties.
- Company cars and commercial vehicles, and private transport.
We generate a complete carbon footprint by combining emissions data from all sources above. We also account for any carbon offsetting actions taken to determine your net emissions.
Track Your Travel Emissions in Detail
Voyage Manager's travel tracking service consolidates all of your travel activity. This vast pool of data enables us to provide a comprehensive assessment of your travel-related emissions.
Our climate impact tool estimates door-to-door emissions for flights, trains, cruises, public transport, taxis, rental cars and more. It can also estimate based on mileage.
The overall impact of each trip segment is based on the distance travelled and the mode of transport. Hotel accommodation will also be factored in if suitable data is available from the travel agent. Work trips contribute towards the organisation's carbon footprint. Personal trips accrue at the individual level.
Estimate Emissions from Properties and Vehicles
We estimate the carbon footprint of commercial and residential properties on the basis of meter readings, or floor area and type of building. We even account for solar installation offsets. We also keep track of the emissions from company cars and other commercial vehicles, and private cars.
Benchmark Against Climate Budgets
You can set an annual climate budget for individuals and for the organisation. The system will benchmark your actual emissions against these budgets to show you whether you are on track to meet your goals.
Reduce Your Climate Impact
You can use your carbon footprint to make informed decisions about reducing your emissions during business travel.
You can review the carbon impact of past trips, and see the estimated impact of upcoming ones. For instance, you can compare planned trips against lower emission options, and select more fuel-efficient modes of transport.
You can also use your carbon footprint to benchmark your climate impact against other companies in your sector.
Showcase Your Green Credentials
You can share your carbon footprint with the public using our website widget and our API. This allows you to showcase your organisation's green credentials, and prove you take your social responsibility seriously.
Anonymized View
The anonymized view gives a good balance of privacy and functionality. It works like a normal travel tracker, but instead of displaying traveler details, all personal information is displayed as a unique identifier. This allows users to get a good overview of where travelers are but not who they are. In the case of an emergency; designated users can use a special feature to decode the identifiers. The action is recorded by the system to ensure that abuse does not occur. Anonymous view does not compromise the functionality of the travel tracker while maintaining the privacy of the travel tracker.
Offset Your Carbon Emissions
We can also help you keep track of your carbon offsetting efforts, or even arrange offsets on your behalf. We will establish the exact offsets required, and carry them to completion by planting trees or using carbon capture suppliers.
