Carbon Tracking

Helping you monitor and mitigate your impact on the environment

Climate Impact

Voyage Climate will help you track, manage and reduce the impact that your company has on the climate. Our technology accurately monitors all of your travel, making it easy to calculate your complete environmental footprint. This in turn can help you make decisions that can reduce your footprint, and also offset your output.

Climate change is a reality that is impacting the entire planet today and for decades or even centuries to come. We all have to work together to fight climate change, and being a climate friendly organization is not only good for the environment, but is also good for your business.

Business Impact

Companies that are green have an advantage over other firms, and that advantage is growing.

In order to win business companies are being required to provide evidence of how they are managing their environmental impact. This trend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

Companies seeking investment are now being required to include strategies on climate impact. In January 2020, BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm, joined the Climate Action 100+, an investor initiative to compel the world’s largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters to take meaningful action on climate change.

Green companies have an advantage over other firms.

Reputational Impact

Energy giant BP has been a major patron of the arts in the UK over the years, sponsoring organizations such as the British Museum, the Science Museum and the Tate. At the end of 2019 the Royal Shakespeare Company terminated its partnership with BP due to the latter's poor environmental credentials. BP has also been at the receiving end of ongoing protests. In 2020 BP pledged to go carbon neutral by 2050, the first oil major to make such a pledge.

Employers can no longer rely on financial compensation alone in order to attract the best talent. A 2014 report by professional services company PwC found that 65 percent of people across 5 major economies want to work for organisations with a strong social conscience.

Being green can affect your reputation

Tracking

Voyage Manager's end to end travel tracking allows us to capture all of your travel activity, from when you depart your home at the start of a trip to when you return.

Every segment, be it flight, taxi, rental car, rail or metro can be tracked, and the associated climate impact calculated.

All this information is aggregated at a company wide level to provide a comprehensive picture of your organisation's total climate footprint.

Tracking all modes of travel

Choosing Greener

Air travel alone currently accounts for about 2.5 percent of all global carbon dioxide emissions. Between 1990 and 2006 greenhouse gas emissions from aviation increase by 87% within the European Union. Aviation is expected to continue to grow by around 4 percent a year, doubling over the next 20 years.

As a company, you can reduce your share of greenhouse gas emissions by selecting travel suppliers that use more fuel efficient modes of travel. Aircraft such as the Boeing 787 and 737 Max, and Airbus A20neo and A350, use up to 25% less fuel than older aircraft.

Choosing airlines that predominantly fly more fuel efficient planes will not only reduce your climate footprint, but also push other suppliers to invest in newer, cleaner vehicles.

Voyage Climate can show you how much greener you could be, by comparing your actual travel with your greenest travel option.

Offsetting

Voyage Manager is working with carbon offsetting companies in order to help you reduce or eliminate your footprint completely. This could be through the planting of trees, or through carbon capture suppliers.

Armed with your exact climate footprint, our system can simplify the process of offsetting some or all of your company's carbon emissions.

Offset your carbon

At Voyage Manager, we practice what we preach

As a company, Voyage Manager has invested heavily in becoming carbon neutral. We have invested in solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicles. We are also looking at carbon offsetting all of our non-green travel by 2021.

Employees are encouraged to cycle whenever possible, and the company maintains a pool of bicycles. When we do drive, we charge our vehicles using renewable energy.
